Natural resources: how long will they last?

Love the chart below (courtesy of flowingdata), very informative. Also interesting to see how faster we will run out of natural resources if the world starts using them at half the US pro-capita consumption rate. Simply put: the current situation is not sustainable, and there need to be a convergence in pro-capita consumption, and it cannot be upward, toward the US rate, but downward. Unless new technologies and recycling come to save the day.
