Wow!

Ok I am sorry and I have to apologise. Been quiet for quite a while, but have been travelling a bit, went on vacation for long and been quite busy with my work.

Also, have been quite shocked at what happened recently in the world. Probably about to recover as I write.

To summarize:

  1. Freedie and Fannie went “bust”. Well, they did.
  2. Lehman’s going bust, or something. Next, please.
  3. Oil down to 100$ and change
  4. Euro’s falling so fast, that I had to scale down my spend while I was on vacation on the Est coast (honest: I was hoping this to happen as I got a few bucks, but wasn’t betting on it. Been lucky)
  5. Markets rallied, then fell again - was expecting stronger rally
  6. Unemployment in US raising fast - expected
  7. UK house prices falling almost faster than the stock market -at last!
  8. Europe in recession - decoupling dreams gone belly up
  9. US in recession with a strong GDP -that’s interesting
  10. Google’s Chrome
  11. HTC Touch Diamaond and Pro - they are very cool
  12. Android coming with HTC and T-Mo - it was time
  13. Look at poor China and India - you let me down guys
  14. Media advertising falling, search strong - as expected
  15. Google into the satellite and cable business - sort of

It’s like you leave for a few weeks, and you come back it’s a different world. Well, not really different, people’s perception it is now definitely different, but the world hasn’t changed that much honestly. It just went on its path. Staying the course, I bet for a while. Now, economists talking about a though 2009 are two a penny. A bit scary, given that economists have forecasted 12 of the last 5 recessions, but I think this time are right.
